Working environment

The IMPALLA study environment is highly adjusted to the needs of our students. What do we have to offer?

* a training environment formed by assistant professors, professors and researchers working on site on major national and international projects.

* an up-to-date ICT environment for individual-, group-, and classroom arrangements.
* access to national and international comparative micro databases (and corresponding meta-information) available on site and within the consortium's archive network, and this according to binding rules for data protection and confidentiality.
* regular interaction with the research teams on site who work at national and international comparative projects as well as for contacts with visiting researchers, for example visitors at IRISS, the integrated research infrastructure in the socio-economic sciences at CEPS/INSTEAD in Differdange.

* Social activities, academic events, and visits to European institutions and centres (in Luxembourg, Belgium, etc.). In March 2008 for example, a joint seminar between IMPALLA and the MISP-programme (Bath university) on "EU policy making and EU reality" was organised.[Kuleuven]
